Foreign Ownership, Control or Influence (FOCI)

This webinar will provide basic information and understanding regarding Foreign Ownership, Control or Influence, commonly referred to as FOCI. Course presenters will discuss the meaning of FOCI, explain what it means to be under FOCI, and FOCI's effect on a company seeking preliminary or continued eligibility for access to classified information. Information will also be presented about the responsibilities of Industrial Security Representatives in helping the Government determine the existence of FOCI, verifying reporting information, and working with the Facility Security Officer to ensure information the company reports is complete and accurate. This APEX Accelerator is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Department of Defense.

The SBA Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Program are designed to help bolster innovation and research and development (R&D) programs.
